Kozhikode: Kozhikode is the city with the most potential in terms of the IT industry among the second-tier cities of the country, according to experts at the KX 2024 conference.

Experts pointed out that centuries of tradition, pluralism, topography, and excellent infrastructure set Calicut apart.

Cyber Park CEO Sushant Kurunthil pointed out that Kozhikode has great potential to be a role model for second-tier cities in the country. District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh pointed out that Kozhikode needs to prepare itself to become an IT city. However, he said that if the business community in Kozhikode makes a concerted effort, it will be possible to create an ecosystem in which even large IT companies want to start operations here. Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited MD Santhosh Babu pointed out that the possibilities of a decentralized IT industry are being discussed in the new IT policy codified by the state government. Vivek Nair, General Manager of Kozhikode Cyber Park, said that Kozhikode will become the best IT city if IT companies utilize this opportunity.

Earlier, when it took hours to see the designed kitchen and living room in 3D, different designs can be seen and experienced through virtual reality in minutes. Artificial intelligence is taking the place of receptionists in offices. Jishnu is the name of the Basepro AI receptionist who can even express emotions like hate and love. Virtual reality is also bringing revolutionary changes in games. Many people come here to travel to the virtual world. Most of them are young people.

The expo will conclude on Saturday.

Realize the potential of AI, says Huda Alqasimi

Prof. Huda Al Qasimi, Co-Chair of the Future Council for Cyber Security under the World Economic Forum and co-chair of the Emirates Digital Association of Women, said that Indians still need to realize India's global potential in the world market, including artificial intelligence. China is currently ahead of the United States in the field of AI, she asserted.

However, India can go a long way with its immense human resources in this field. She said that India is a place blessed with spices and Ayurveda that many other countries of the world do not.
