K.G.F: Chapter 2 is witnessing a phenomenal first week at the box office and has become the second highest-grossing film with Rs 550 crore in the world for the April 15-17 weekend. Director Ram Gopal Varma said the film is a horror film for the Bollywood industry.

He was hinting how South Indian films have been consistently performing well at the box office nationally in recent times. The iconic filmmaker congratulated KGF's director Prashant Neel and actor Yash for creating the masterpiece.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 was released nationwide on April 14, 2022, in five languages - Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The Hindi-dubbed version of the film has already earned well over Rs 180 crore and become one of the highest-grossing films in Hindi.

RGV tweeted: KGF 2 is not just a gangster film, and the Bollywood industry will have nightmares about its success for years to come." He added that not even the Tamil and Telugu film industries took the Kannada film industry seriously till now. "Director Neel has put the Kannada film industry on the world map."

He predicted that KGF 2's final collections will be a "nuclear bomb thrown on Bollywood from Sandalwood." Mr. Varma went on to say on the social media platform that he "very much like how Rocky Bhai comes to Mumbai to machine-gun the villains. "Yash is literally machine-gunning all the Bollywood stars opening collections."

The first part 'K.G.F: Chapter 1' follows Rocky, an underdog who becomes a powerful gangster. The sequel follows him trying to consolidate the newly-acquired gold-mining business. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tondon, Prakash Raj, and Malavika Avinash.
