Provide best treatment to Siddique Kappan: Kerala CM to Yogi
text_fieldsThiruvananthapuram: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to UP CM Yogi Adityanath demanding that Siddique Kappan be provided treatment. The CM demanded that Kappan be moved immediately to a super speciality hospital.
Kappan, charged under UAPA, is currently suffering from serious health concerns. Kappan, a heart and diabetes patient, was diagnosed with Covid-19 and moved to KVM hospital in Mathura.
The Chief Minister noted that there are reports of Kappan being kept chained to his bed. "Expert health care, necessary for him, may also be seriously considered by shifting him to another super speciality hospital where modern life-saving facilities are ensured," wrote the Kerala CM.
Kappan was arrested by the UP police when he was on his way to Hathras to report on the rape and murder of a Dalit girl by upper-caste men.
