cancel

The woman in the Karnataka CD scandal released a fresh video in which she said that she might commit suicide and name the resigned minister Ramesh Jarkiholi in her suicide note. She accused that the minister is threatening her and her family after he has sexually exploited her.

The 25-year-old had complained that over the promise of a government job, Jarkiholi has sexually abused her more than once. She had shot visuals of it and had released them on social media. This had culminated in the resignation of Jarkiholi.

Based on the woman's complaint, Cubbon Park police had registered a case against Jarkiholi on IPC sections 376C, 354A, 504,506,417,67A. The petition also included the woman's fear of her safety.

Dinesh Kallahalli, a Bangaluru based activist had filed a petition before the city police commissioner demanding a detailed investigation in the scandal. However, the woman had not appeared before the investigation team yet.

Jarkiholi was at the fore of rebels who worked to collapse the Congress-JDS coalition.
