Irritated Subramanian Swamy repeats attack against BJP IT Cell after revelations against Adani surface
text_fieldsNew Delhi: After reports suggested irregularities in Adani Group's overseas businesses, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has renewed his attack against the party's IT Cell.
The veteran MP tweeted,
Adani is known to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In March 2018, Swamy had written, "The biggest NPA trapeze artiste in PSUs is Gautam Adani. It is time he is made accountable or a PIL is inevitable."
Indian Express on Tuesday reported that Adani Global PTE, the Singapore-based global arm of the Adani Group, has been listed for suspicious transactions to and from shell-like entities in Seychelles.
The investigation of Indian Express accessed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) filed to FinCEN, the top US financial watchdog, that red-flag the subject of shell companies and their use in money laundering activities in the tax haven of Seychelles.
The tussle between Swamy and the party's IT Cell is nothing new for the cadres.
On Sunday, hashtag #ArrestDrSwamy was seen trending on Twitter. It is believed that the IT Cell was behind the campaign.
On Monday Swamy accused the IT Cell chief Amit Malviya of operating a campaign against him using fake tweets, without giving details of the issue.
He had given an ultimatum to the party's top brass to remove Malviya by Thursday and said the removal is the "compromise proposal" he has made to party president JP Nadda.
Swamy has been at odds with BJP's stance on a number of issues.
Lately, on Tuesday, he tweeted,
He also tagged a news report of 2016 wherein he had expressed his reservation on Goods and Services Tax.
