Hyderabad: The INSAF alliance, comprised of Telangana Students Forum (TSF), Fraternity Movement, National Students Union of India (NSUI), Muslim Students Federation (MSF) and PRISM EFLU secured victory in all central panel seats of the 2024 Students Union Election at English and Foreign Languages University.

The alliance defeated the candidates of both ABVP and SFI. TSF's Rathore Raghuvardhan won the President post, Fraternity Movement's Rana Basheer is the General Secretary, MSF's Nitha Fathima is the Vice-President and NSUI's Nishanth is the Sports Secretary. Sweata Saha was elected to the post of Joint-secretary and Uthara to the post of Cultural Secretary.

SFI contested separately under the banner Left Front. SFI's only candidate for a General post was defeated by the Fraternity's General Secretary candidate Rana Basheer with 294 votes majority. Insaf candidates Aishi Saha, Manchikanti Varshita and Priti Ranjana were elected as ICC representatives.

Candidates of NSUI, Fraternity Movement, MSF, TSF, SFI and several other organisations were elected as School Councillors.

"Campus responded to ABVP's politics of hate and violence through ballots. The results give hope for the upcoming parliament election. This result reflects the collective spirit of this campus" responded a concerned EFLU student.

The Students Union elections took place after a gap of four years.
