India has firmly rejected claims that US Navy forces are using Indian ports to strike Iran, labeling the reports "baseless and fabricated."

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued the denial via its fact-checking X account after US Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor told Open America News (OAN): "Our bases are being destroyed. Our harbour installations are destroyed. We’re having to fall back on India and its Naval ports."

MEA shared screenshots of the interview, marked as fake news, and cautioned: "Claims being made on OAN, a US based channel that Indian ports are being used by the US Navy are fake and false. We caution you against such baseless and fabricated comments."
