Patna: Former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani’s father Jitan Sahani has been murdered at their ancestral home in Darbhanga district.
Mukesh Sahani is also the chief of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), which is part of the Congress led INDIA bloc in the state, NDTV reported.
Jitan Sahni's mutilated body was found on the bed this morning, triggering panic in the residents.
Senior police officer Jagannath Reddy has confirmed the incident and said a police team is at Sahanis' home.
Mukesh Sahani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party, which is currently in alliance with RJD, has a strong support base in the OBC community.
A three-member Special Investigation Team has been formed to investigate the shocking crime, police said.
