IGNOU to start online certificate programmes in Spanish and French

New Delhi: Taking note of the growing passion for learning Spanish and French, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced certificate programmes in both these languages.

Online courses, managed by IGNOU's School of Foreign Languages, will commence with January 2020 session.

Aspirants can apply for the programmes on the official website: ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

The six months programmes will charge Rs 4,500 as course fees.

How to apply:

Step 1: Visit the official IGNOU website — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in

Step 2: Existing user can login through using credentials. New users should first register.

Step 3: Fill out the form with required details and be wary of spelling or factual error.

Step 4: Upload the documents requested by IGNOU.

Step 5: Pay the application and registration fee through credit card (master/visa), debit card (master/visa/Rupay) or net banking.

Step 6: Click on submit and save the page for future reference.

As for eligibility, candidates should complete high school (10+2) from any recognised school and boards—or hold any other relevant degree. Alongside, candidates should have a basic knowledge of English.

The language programmes will develop communication skills readying candidates to manage daily life tasks.
