Hyderabad: A man in Hyderabad will travel to Ayodhya on January 17 with 1,265Kg laddu as an offering to Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

Nagabhushan Reddy, who runs a catering service called Shree Ram Catering since 2000, said that 30 workers spent 24 hours to prepare the delicacy.

‘I own a catering service called Shree Ram Catering since 2000. When the Bhoomi Pooja of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple was happening, we thought to ourselves as to what offering can be given to Sri Ram. Later, we came up with the idea that from the day of the Bhoomi Pooja to the day of the temple opening, each day we’ll give 1Kg laddu,’ news agency ANI quoted Nagabhushan Reddy as saying.

He added that the laddu will be taken to Ayodhya by road in a refrigerated box .

Dushasan who prepared the laddu said it involved ‘hard work’ , adding that ‘We have made this laddu such that it won’t get damaged anyway during travel.’

Meanwhile, Ayodhya will see variety of rituals as part of consecrating the Ram Temple, including idol of Lord Ram Lalla touring the premises of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on Wednesday, according to the report.

Vedic scholar Acharya Shri Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid reportedly said alongside the tour of the idol, there will be ‘Jalayatra, Teertha Puja, Brahmin-Batuk-Kumari-Suvasini Puja, Vardhini Puja, Kalshayatra’ on Wednesday after 1:20 pm.

General secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai said that temple will be open for public to perform ‘darshan’ from January 23.
