Home-alone 5-year-old raped in Kapurthala

Kapurthala: The Kapurthala district police of Punjab informed on Tuesday that a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in her own house in a village here, PTI reported.
The accused has been identified as Mohammed Sourav and arrested, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harish Damiya said. He added that the accused is a migrant worker from Bihar.
The girl was alone at home on Monday when Sourav lured her with sweets and raped her, Damiya said.
According to Damiya, the accused lured the girl with sweets and did the grievous crime. The girl was alone at her home, he said. The girl's parents are also migrant labourers, when they returned home, she told them about the incident, and her mother lodged a complaint at Fattu Dhinga police station, Damiya said.
