Hindutva extremists destroy Muslim shrine in Delhi’s Yamuna Ghat
text_fieldsDelhi: A group of Hindutva extremists allegedly desecrated a Mazar in Delhi’s ITO Yamuna Ghat area. One among them, identified as Akash Pandit, was involved in an attempt to demolish the mazar earlier, Siasat reported.
A video of the incident is viral on social media, and in the video, Pandit can be heard daring to post the video on social media.
A group of men on Monday, February 2, tried to desecrate a Mazar in Delhi's ITO Yamuna area. One of the men was identified as Akash Pandit who was involved in an attempted demolition of the Mazar last month.

“Karlo karlo , Twitter se tweet karlo meri video, Karlo jjitne muqqadme karne hain tumhein (Post my video on social media, file however many cases you want),” he could be heard saying. The translation of his words is based on the Siasat report.
The Observer Post reported that Pandit and the group of men were seen desecrating the Mazar, chanting “Jai Sri Ram” slogans.
According to Siasat, Pandit and his men, who claimed to have links to Gau Raksha Dal, used an axe to demolish the Mazar, according to reports. They claimed that the Mazar encroached on the land of an adjacent temple, and the space needed to be “freed”
Last month, a more than 100-year-old 'mazar' (shrine) of Syed Baba Bulleshah, located within the premises of a private school in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, was vandalised by a Hindutva mob, who chanted “Jai Sree Ram”, “Jai Bajrang Bali”, as per a purported video footage of the incident. Police said a case has been registered against 25 to 30 unknown persons in connection with the incident, which took place late on Saturday, and an investigation has been launched, PTI reported.
The incident occurred at the Wynberg Allen Estate in Mussoorie when a group of unidentified attackers allegedly vandalised the shrine, also damaging structures built around it.
