Hindus not safe in Kashmir Valley: sister of the murdered Kashmiri Pandit

New Delhi: Relatives of the killed Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat appealed to Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure safety to their community in Kashmir valley.
Krishan Bhat was killed in Shopian on Saturday after he was targeted outside his residence. He was rushed to the district hospital in Shopian where he died.
Hours after his murder, the terror outfit Kashmir Freedom Fighters claimed responsibility and threatened of more similar attacks, according to a report in India Today.
Mortal remains of the 58-year-old was brought to the Shopian district where his family performed last rites.
The funeral rites were reportedly marked with slogans against suppression of the minority in the valley, as well as highlighting terrorism in the area.
Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat is survived by 41-year-old wife and two minor children.
Bhat's sister told India Today that Hindu are not safe in the Kashmir valley and quoted her Muslim neighbours as saying they are unable to protest the community.
Citing an example of how terrorists are looking for opportunity to attack Hindus, she said some week ago terrorists stormed into a school searching for Hindu teachers when there was none of them present.
She advised all Hindus to leave valley because terrorist will kill al Kashmiri Pandits, according to the report.
She appealed to Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah to ensure the security of Kashmiri Pandits, adding that the wife of Puran Bhat be given a government job.
