New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi joined Rahul Gandhi in attacking the BJP over PM Modi’s alleged cronyistic help to Adani Group.

Owaisi mocked the BJP leadership that Hindenburg researcher, the New York based short-selling firm, would have faced UAPA if it were in India.

"If Hindenburg was in India, it would have faced the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for issuing a report about the Adani Group." Owaisi reportedly said.

The Adani-Hindenburg issue led to an uproar in the Budget Session of the Parliament disrupting proceedings, according to India Today.

Taking a dig at PM Modi over his alleged support to Gautam Adani, Owaisi humorously said “ A is very unlucky for you. The entire market has come down to the 5th position."

Attacking both the BJP and the Congress Owaisi reportedly said that they “have given birth to oligarchs in India”.

Owaisi asked whether the list of those people who fled the country with huge wealth include the names of Mughals.

The MP from Hyderabad also asked whether PM Modi will speak about Chinese intrusion and also if Bilkis Bano will get justice.

Alongside criticizing the Centre on several issues, Asaduddin Owaisi called out the slashing of funds for minority schemes in the Budget 2023.

The Union Budget reportedly cut down the allocation for the Ministry of Minority Affairs by 38 percent for the financial year 2023-24, according to the report.
