Former Congress media coordinator Radhika Khera joins BJP
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Radhika Khera, the former National Media Coordinator for the Congress party, has made a significant move by joining the BJP at the party's headquarters in Delhi.
She officially became a member of the BJP in the presence of senior leaders, including BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde and National Media Department In-Charge Anil Baluni.
Radhika Khera had previously announced her resignation from the Congress party and all associated posts through a social media post on Sunday. In her resignation letter addressed to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Khera highlighted her decision to step down and expressed her commitment to fighting for justice.
A day after tendering her resignation, Khera held a press conference on Monday where she alleged facing opposition within the Congress party due to her visit to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. She revealed that she had faced criticism from within the party after putting up a 'Jai Shri Ram' flag on her house door following her visit to the temple.
During the press conference in Delhi, Khera emphasized her observations about the Congress party's stance on issues related to Ram, Sanatan, and Hinduism. She recounted Mahatma Gandhi's practice of starting meetings with 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' and expressed her disillusionment upon realizing the party's purported anti-Ram sentiments.
Actor Shekhar Suman also joined the BJP alongside Khera on Tuesday.
