Forbes 2022 list of the richest Indians: Ambani, Adani and others

The following are the top 10 richest Indians:
1. Mukesh Ambani
With a net worth of $90.7 billion, Ambani retains his spot as Asia's richest person and the world's tenth richest person.
2. Gautam Adani and family
Currently Asia's second-richest person, Adani, heads an infrastructure conglomerate and commodities business. He is the 11th richest person in the world.
3. Shiv Nadar
Forbes reports that HCL Technologies Limited's founder, Nadar, increased his wealth by 22 per cent and has a net worth of $28.7 billion, making him the third-richest person in India. In the world, he ranks 47th.
4. Cyrus Poonawalla
With his wealth now standing at $24.3 billion, Poonwalla, president of Serum Institute of India, which manufactures the Covishield vaccine, has risen four places to rank number 56 in the world.
5. Radhakishan Damani
A billionaire with a net worth of $20 billion, Damani is ranked 81 in the world and runs Avenue Supermarkets, which operates D-Marts across the country.
6. Lakshmi Mittal
Lakshmi Mittal is the chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world's largest iron and steel company and ranked 89 in the world by net worth.
7. Savitri Jindal and family
It is estimated that Savitri Jindal, CEO of OP Jindal Group, has a net worth of $17.7 billion and ranks 91 on the Forbes list. In addition to being the only woman in the top 10 richest Indians, she is one of 13 Indian women on the billionaires' list.
8. Kumar Birla
Kumar, chairman of Aditya Birla Group, ranks 109 on the world's list of wealthiest people and has a net worth of $16.5 billion.
9. Dilip Shanghvi
Shanghvi is the owner of Sun Pharmaceuticals, among the largest pharma companies in the world, ranks 115 in the world, He has a net worth of $15.6 billion.
10. Uday Kotak
Lastly, Uday, who operates Kotak Mahindra Bank and has been labelled as "India's richest self-made banker" by Forbes, is ranked 129 in the world with a net worth of $14.3 billion.
