text_fieldsNew Delhi: The tale of Seema Haider, a 30-year-old Pakistani woman who braved to cross the border for love, is set to grace the silver screen in an upcoming Bollywood film titled 'Karachi to Noida'.
The movie, produced by Amit Jani under the banner of Jani Firefox Film Production, aims to unravel the extraordinary love story that unfolded amid digital battlegrounds and legal controversies.
Amit Jani, the producer behind 'Karachi to Noida', sees this tale as an opportunity to capture the essence of their love and the complexities of their choices. Jani's pursuit has led him to invite Seema's ex-husband, Ghulam Haider, who currently resides in Saudi Arabia, to India.
Jani hopes that Ghulam's insights will provide a deeper understanding of Seema's life and motivations.
Amit Jani expressed that they aim to depict the unfolding of the love story while playing PUBG, the reasons behind her journey to India, and the question of whether she is involved in espionage or not. He mentioned that these aspects are intended to be conveyed through their film, and thus, they are currently in the process of collecting comprehensive details about Seema Haider's life.
Seema Haider's journey, fuelled by love and determination, began while playing the popular online game PUBG during the Covid-19 pandemic. Seema, who was already married and a mother of four, found herself drawn to Sachin Meena, a 22-year-old Indian man residing in Greater Noida.
Their virtual connection soon blossomed into a deep affection that transcended borders.
She crossed the border into India illegally, accompanied by her four children, on a journey that took them through Nepal. Seema's love led her to convert to Hinduism, and the couple reportedly tied the knot in accordance with Hindu rituals.
On July 4, Seema was apprehended for her illegal entry into India, leading to her temporary detainment along with Sachin and his father. While the couple was later released on bail, their relationship came under scrutiny by Indian authorities.
The film's casting process is in its final stages, with the selection of actors to portray Seema and Sachin set to be announced within the next two days.
