ED interrogates Delhi CM Kejriwal's PA in excise scam case
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently questioning Bibhav Kumar, the Personal Assistant (PA) of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in connection with the alleged excise policy scam, claimed sources.
They have disclosed that the ED has also summoned AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak in relation to the same case.
"We are questioning Kumar as part of an ongoing investigation in the excise scam," said an ED source, declining to provide further details.
Previously, on February 23, 2023, the financial probe agency interrogated Bibhav Kumar regarding an alleged call he facilitated for accused Sameer Mahendru.
CM Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 after a questioning session lasting over two hours at his official residence in Delhi.
The ED has accused the Chief Minister of being the "kingpin and the key conspirator" in the alleged excise scam, allegedly collaborating with other ministers of the Delhi government, AAP leaders, and other individuals.
In January this year, a Delhi court granted a two-week interim bail to Sameer Mahendru, a liquor businessman and managing director of Indospirit.
