ED arrested AAP minister demands 'fruits and salads' in Tihar Jail
text_fieldsNew Delhi: A CBI court will hear an inmate's demand for a 'religious diet" of fruits and salads shortly.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Satyendar Jain, currently doing time in Tihar jail after Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him for money laundering, raised the special demand at the CBI court on Monday.
Satyendar Jain told the court that he was not able to eat regular food without going to temple so he was on a diet of fruits and salads.
The AAP leader complained that he was not given fruits and salad for the last two days and added that he cannot have " grains or milk products" without visiting the temple.
The court will hear his petition on November 22.
Jain's demand for religious food follows an old video of him, released by BJP, getting a message in the jail.
