New Delhi: Most employees hanker for a short nap during brain-raking works.

Workers at India's start-up Wakefit Solution seem to be luckier after the company offered a nap-break.

Now onwards every day all employee can have forty winks in the afternoon, according to The Indian Express.

Work at desk or files in the afternoon usually gets slower from weariness.

Most people cope with the exhaustion by pumping in caffeine, as well as frequently washing their faces.

The decision to allow siesta for employees by the sleep solutions brand is a surprise in the corporate world.

In an internal email from Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda announced a quick nap between 2 to 2.30 pm.

Ramalingegowda wrote despite into business of sleep, the company failed to do justice with afternoon nap.

He also cited studies that linked afternoon naps to better performance and productivity, according to the report.

A study by NASA said 26-minute catnap could enhance performance by 33 per cent, he noted.

The announcement took many by surprise and while some wanted the same to be applied at their workplace, others opined this may not be suitable for all industries, the report said.
