Andheri: Mumbai's Oshiwara Police have filed a report regarding the death of Jason Watkins, 48, who is the brother-in-law of Bollywood director and choreographer Remo D'Souza. Watkins was found dead in his apartment at Yamuna Nagar on Thursday, in a suspected case of suicide, police said.

The Accidental Death Report was filed after taking statements from Watkin's sister Lizelle, her husband Remo D'Souza as well as his father. No suspicions have been raised in the preliminary investigation.

Watkins was found hanging from the ceiling after relatives returned from buying medicine. He was taken to Cooper's Hospital in Mumbai where he was declared dead on arrival. He was suffering from a long-term disease which could have contributed to declining mental health, police officials told NDTV.

Lizelle and D'Souza posted several messages of grief on their social media profiles, mourning Watkins loss.

Remo took to Instagram and shared a picture with his brother-in-law Jason and wrote: "You broke our hearts brother, hope you finally found Peace."

"Why? How could you do this to me? Will never forgive you", Lizelle wrote in a now-deleted Instagram story. In more heart-wrenching posts, Lizelle wrote: "Mom, I failed you", as she shared a photo of her brother with their mom. Lizelle also posted a childhood throwback, remembering her brother, and wrote: "Why?" Lizelle lost her mother in 2018.

Lizelle is a producer who has worked alongside her husband in several of his Bollywood ventures. D'Souza is best known for his films like 'Race 3', 'ABCD: Anybody Can Dance' and others.
