Dhruv Rathee urges countries to halt all flights to and from Russia

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has urged countries to temporarily halt air travel to and from Russia, citing concerns over the worsening Russia-Ukraine conflict and warning against waiting for a major crisis before taking preventive action.
In a post on X, Rathee called for an immediate suspension of flights involving Russia. He said governments should act before the situation develops into what he described as “another pandemic”. Rathee argued that even if his concerns prove unnecessary, a two-week suspension would be a relatively limited precaution compared with the potential consequences of failing to respond to a serious threat.
His comments came as fighting between Russia and Ukraine continued to intensify. Moscow has threatened stronger strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian areas following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s announcement that Kyiv would widen attacks on Russian oil refineries.
Russia and Ukraine have also continued targeting infrastructure and other strategic sites, including energy facilities, ports and bridges, while Ukraine has carried out long-range drone strikes inside Russian territory.
