Delhi awoke to another day of extremely polluted air on Sunday with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) settling at 385, placing it in the "very poor" category, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board.

18 air-monitoring stations recorded "severe" AQI readings, while 20 others reported "very poor" air quality, with pollution levels greater than 300, TNIE reported.

Despite the pollution, Delhi had a colder, slightly more humid morning.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a minimum temperature of 9°C, 4.5°C below the seasonal normal. The morning humidity level was 81% at 8:30 a.m.

The IMD forecasts a mostly clear sky for the rest of the day, with a high temperature of around 27°C.
