New Delhi: Delhi Police have filed a formal complaint (FIR) against unidentified individuals at the Tughlaq Road police station in connection with the December 26 suspicious blast that occurred close to the Israel Embassy. Top NSG bomb squad team personnel have notified that a sealed report on the explosion near the Israel embassy will be given to the Delhi Police.

Delhi police claim that they have been waiting for forensic reports because the explosion's component has not yet been determined. On Wednesday, forensic specialists from Delhi Police and the National Security Group (NSG) took samples of the leaves and soil from the location. The people who passed the scene just before the incident were questioned as part of a search and seizure operation that the Delhi police initiated throughout the region. In addition, Prithvi Raj Road and Abdul Kalam Road drivers who had driven by were all subjected to extensive interrogation, Free Press Journal reported.

On Tuesday, Delhi Police received a call that a 'blast' was heard near the Israeli Embassy in the Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave, but officials said that nothing as such was found at the spot of the incident.

Two days after the police were notified of a "blast" being heard close to the Israeli Embassy in Delhi, paramilitary personnel were stationed there. The security officer stationed close to the Israel embassy heard the explosion, alerting a member of the FSL team.

Investigators from the Delhi Special Cell, Dog Squad, and NIA conducted a field investigation near the Israel Embassy. The Delhi police have scrutinised the CCTV footage of the vicinity and have narrowed down on two "suspects." However, authorities have not confirmed the pair's involvement in the same.
