In the last two weeks, the number of people in Delhi who contracted Covid-19 from their close social network has risen by 500%. A survey by LocalCircles assessed close to 19% of the people living in the Delhi-NCR.

11,743 people answered questions like "how many individuals (including children) do you have in your close social network (family, friends, neighbours, colleagues) in Delhi-NCR that have had COVID in the last 15 days?" 70% of respondents said that no one in their circle has had Covid-19 in the past two weeks.

Only 3% of residents responded that someone in their close social network was infected with Covid-19. Delhi has been witnessing a sudden spike in Covid-19 days in recent weeks. On Saturday, 461 cases were reported.

The city health department said that 5.33% of all who tested were positive and two patients died. LocalCircles said that 67% of the respondents were men and 33% were women.

The Union Health Ministry on Sunday said that India has reported 1,150 new Covid-19 cases and four related deaths in the last 24 hours. There are currently 11,558 active cases in the country.
