Judicial Magistrate First Class Ravi at Patiala House Courts directed immediate supply, noting denial violates Section 230 BNSS and Articles 21 (fair procedure) and 22 (arrest grounds info). "Applicant cannot prepare bail/defence without foundational document, causing irreparable prejudice. Supply poses no investigation risk, especially post-transfer to Crime Branch," the order stated, adding the symbolic protest lacks terrorism hallmarks.
Chib, one of eight arrested after February 20 shirtless demonstrations with "PM is compromised" slogans at Bharat Mandapam, got four days' police custody. Police called him the "main conspirator"; the court found their sensitivity argument untenable post-Crime Branch transfer.
