Dalit boy made to drink urine: Police arrest 3 in Uttar Pradesh
text_fieldsShravasti: Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested three people in the case of forcing a Dalit boy to drink by urine from a liquor bottle. The incident related to the case took place two days ago in Uttar Pradesh's Sravasti district. The accused, Kishan Tiwari, Dilip Mishra and Satyam Tiwari, were arrested yesterday. The victim, a 15-year-old boy, is a technician who handles sound systems at social and cultural events.
He was attacked by the accused when he was on his way home after work on Tuesday night.
The police said that after Dilip Mishra urinated in the liquor bottle, Sathya and Kishan made the boy lie down, put the bottle in his mouth and made him drink. After this, the boy was abused and beaten. One of them shot the entire video of the incident, said Gilaula Police Station House Officer Mahima Nath Upadhyay.
According to the police, the motive behind the attack on the boy was that it was his family who arranged the sound system for a function held at the home of the accused. However, the accused had created a problem by alleging that they had taken extra money for this.
The incident came to light when the boy came home and narrated the ordeal to his elder brother. On Wednesday morning, the parents and brother lodged a complaint with the police.
On the basis of the witness statement and the video circulating on social media, the police conducted a preliminary investigation and arrested the accused on Thursday.
