Nagaland on Saturday reported 18 new COVID-19 cases while 123 people recovered from the disease in the state, officials said.

With the 18 new COVID-19 cases, the state's tally rose to 3,340 of which 2,005 are active cases, according to data released by Additional Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Nagaland on May 25.

Of the total 3,340 COVID-19 cases, 2,005 are active cases as 1,321 people have recovered from the disease, eight have died and six migrated to other states as per the reports

Kiphire is the only district which is free of COVID-19 infection in the state.

In Goa, five died due to COVID-19 pandemic. "Total cases reported today is 369 to raise the total positive cases to 11,339 on Saturday, while five deaths took toll to 98" the state health department said.

A total of 331 patients were discharged in the day, taking the number of recoveries to 7,488.

All the deceased were women above 50 years of age, the department said.
