Sambit Patra shares edited video of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claiming he supports farm laws

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra recently tweeted an edited video of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claiming that Kejriwal supports the newly introduced farm bills.

Sambit Patra shared the tweet which read, "Here, sir is mentioning the benefits of all three farm bills."

According to Alt News, the original video dates back to 15 January 2021. Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal aired the interview which was being done by the channel's editor Dilip Tiwari and his colleague Jagdeep Sandhu.

"An 18-second clip was edited by compiling several cropped clips from a recent Arvind Kejriwal interview to show that the CM was speaking in support of the farm laws. This doctored clip was also shared by BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra." The Alt News report said.

According to BOOM, in the original interview, Arvind Kejriwal criticises the three farm law bills passed by the central government and different sections of the interview have been clubbed and cut to falsely show that he has supported the bill.

BJP has made several such false claims during the farmers' protests while fact-checkers have many a times debunked misinformation spread by the BJP during these protests.
