New Delhi/ Mumbai: Police discovered the mutilated body of a woman in a plastic bag near a Rapid Metro construction site in Sarai Kale Khan, southeast Delhi, on Saturday, NDTV reported.

The body parts, including the woman's skull, were found in a white plastic bag near the Sarai Kale Khan ISBT, next to the flyover of a Rapid Metro construction site.

Police sent the parts to AIIMS Trauma Centre and are trying to identify the person. They said that a case had been registered and an investigation was underway. The forensic team investigated the spot where the women's body was found.

Meanwhile, in the Mumbai incident where the decomposed body of a 53-year-old woman was stuffed in a plastic bag, six people were questioned in connection, Asian News International reported. The body was found in Mumbai's Lalbaug area.

Here, the victim's daughter was arrested for her murder, the police believe that the accused, Rimple Jain, was not alone in the act, but someone must have helped her.

Mumbai's Kalachowki police arrested the accused on March 15 after they recovered cutters and a knife from the house. A case was registered under IPC Section 302 (murder) and the Arms Act.

Police said that the accused used a marble cutter, bought from Lalbaug, to chop her mother's body. The accused panicked after the murder and preserving it for two days, she told the police, and therefore she decided to chop it to pieces and dispose of it.

A police officer stated that the accused watched online videos on ways to preserve the body, avoiding the smell of rotting. They believe that the woman was murdered in December.
