Chaos in J&K Assembly as a member shows Article 370 banner

New Delhi: The Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Thursday adjourned the proceedings briefly when chaos erupted after one member displayed a banner on Article 370, India Today reported.

It all began after Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh, the brother of jailed Baramulla Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid, came up with the banner.

It is reported that some members ended up engaging in fist fight.

Chaos started after BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Sunil Sharma raised objections to displaying the banner by the Awami Ittehad Party MLA representing the Langate constituency.
