BJP Gujarat Porbandar MLA’s rain dance video goes viral

Ahmedabad: Arjun Modhwadia, the BJP MLA for Porbandar constituency, was seen in a video playing traditional ‘Raas’ with people of Porbandar during rain.

The BJP MLA dance comes as rain has marred the ongoing dance festival of Navratri across the state.

Modhwadia’s supporters said the MLA was taking part in the traditional ‘Maniyar Raas’ at a Navratri function jointly organised by the people of Khambhodar and Natvar villages of his constituency.

Maniyar Raas is a traditional dance form of the Mer community to which Modhwadia belongs.

Modhwadia, a former Gujarat Congress president, crossed over to the ruling BJP.
