Patna: Nitish Kumar is seen missing from BJP posters even after PM Narendra Modi's eloquent speech on Nitish's achievements as a platform for NDA re-election.
The constituencies where the first phase of election are being held and the front page advertisements of last day's local vernacular dailies feature only life-size posters of Narendra Modi and highlight the BJP's election promises.
Although the BJP election camps justify this move as the maximum utilisation of the so-called Modi wave, it is clear that there may be attempts to cripple Nitish Kumar just before elections.
The opinion polls so far had predicted the continuation of the NDA alliance, and the last round of recent surveys points at BJP winning more seats than Nitish's JDU.
Prominent BJP leaders from Delhi and Patna were seen approving of the LJP president Chirag Paswan's proclamation that the BJP-LJP government will come into power after the elections and Nitish will be imprisoned.
