New Delhi: It seems both Russia and USA are trying to win India over to their sides in the midst of ongoing Ukraine crisis.

Reports the other day hinted at Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's likely visit to India one of these days.

Reports now say that President Joe Biden's deputy national security adviser for economics, Daleep Singh, will travel to New Delhi today

He will discuss with his Indian counterparts Russia's war against Ukraine and developing an economic framework for the Indo-Pacific, according to India Today.

Spokesperson of National Security Council of the White House Emily Horne said that Singh would discuss the consequence of Russia's war against Ukraine and ways to mitigate its impact on the global economy.

Aside from these, Daleep Singh may well discuss the promotion of high-quality infrastructure via Build Back Better World, as well as the development of Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.

He will bring to the table a range of issues in the US-India economic relationship and strategic partnership, according to the report.

However, Ukraine crisis is obviously the prime focus on his whirlwind visit to India in the midst of Russian foreign minister's India trip this week.

46 years old Daleep Singh is the architect of economic sanctions against Russia under Biden administration. He is the great-grandson of Dalip Singh Saund, the first Asian-American elected to the Congress.
