Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody extended till June 19
text_fieldsNew Delhi: AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's request for extending interim bail has been rejected by court and on Wednesday afternoon, the court extended his stay in Tihar jail to June 19.
The bail was applied on medical grounds at Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court.
"I don't know what these people will do to me... We are disciples of Bhagat Singh. We are going to jail to save the country... When power becomes a dictatorship, jail becomes a responsibility," he said while applying for interim bail.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had granted him interim bail on May 10 for the final phase of voting in the Lok Sabha Election. He was arrested on April 1.
He is seeking bail till July which is when the formation of the new government will be complete.
