Anti-Muslim hate slogans on wall: Police arrest 3 in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Police in Uttar Pradesh have arrested three individuals for allegedly writing communal slogans on a wall along the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway in Biharigarh, officials said.
According to police, the accused had spray-painted the message “This road is not for Muslims” on the wall. A video showing several people writing the slogan surfaced on social media on February 26 and quickly went viral, prompting an investigation.
Authorities later identified and arrested three suspects — Sulekha, Sharada and Manav Kendra — all residents of Dehradun and aged between 25 and 30. Biharigarh Station House Officer Akshay Sharma told PTI that the trio is affiliated with the right-wing organisation Hindu Raksha Dal.
Police said some individuals linked to the outfit had earlier claimed responsibility for the act after the video circulated online.
A case was registered at the Biharigarh police station following a complaint filed by an employee of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Based on the complaint and video evidence, police initiated action and arrested the suspects.
Officials said the accused have been booked on charges including conspiracy to incite rioting and promoting communal tension. Further investigation is underway to determine whether others were involved in the incident.
