Mumbai: Social activist Anna Hazare is preparing for a strike demanding the opening of temples in Maharashtra. Anna Hazare asked why the temples were not open even though liquor shops were open.
Hazare was seen by the media in Siddi village in Ahmednagar district. '' Why is the state government not opening temples? What is the danger in opening temples to the people? If it is COVID, then why are there are big lines in front of liquor shops, "Hazare said.
Hazare added that he would join the struggle to open temples. The opposition, BJP, had also demanded that CM Uddhav open up temples. This was followed by Hazare as well. In Maharashtra, 4,831 COVID cases and 126 related deaths were reported on Saturday.
