All governments must work for Brahmins' welfare, demands Delhi CM
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and BJP leader Rekha Gupta claimed that the Brahmin community ignites “the flame of knowledge” in society and demanded that every government and political party must work for the welfare of the community. She also claimed that society, as well as the entire country, can be protected only through “scriptures and weapons”, since Brahmins worship both.
The Delhi CM was speaking at the All India Brahmin Conference organised by Shri Brahmin Sabha in Delhi’s Pitampura.
According to her claims, Brahmins always worked for the benefit of society by propagating religion.
She said that the Brahmin community has always worked for the benefit of society by igniting the flame of knowledge, propagating religion, and fostering a spirit of goodwill. She demanded that governments should work for the community to take them forward.
Then she claimed that Delhi has been moving at a slow pace for the last 27 years. Before the current BJP government in the national capital, 27 years ago, the BJP ruled the region.
She claimed that Delhi is at a huge backlog, and it is time to shift gears and accelerate towards “Viksit Delhi”.
In another event, organised by the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) ahead of Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti on October 7, she invoked Ramayana to establish that Maharshi Valmiki expected the society to have equal opportunities for all, common progress, and discrimination. Instances like Shabri offering berries tasted by her to Lord Rama or Lord Rama urging a sailor to help him cross the river in his boat, show that all are equal in society, the chief minister said, according to PTI.
