AIMIM's Twitter handle hacked

For the second time this month, hackers hacked the Twitter account of Asaduddin Owaisi's All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Sunday and changed the profile of @aimim_national as 'Elon Musk', the chief of Tesla.

A few tweets were also posted regarding cryptocurrency from the account. "I am very excited about the prospect of using cryptocurrency, not just as a money equivalent, but using it as a way to earn something as a result of doing some type of work. Love Crypto," a tweet read.

Furthermore, the Twitter handle of Shaukat Ali, AIMIM's Uttar Pradesh state President was restricted on Sunday as "unusual activity" was witnessed from the account.

This is the second time this month that AIMIM's Twitter handle has been hacked. However, the Twitter handle has now been restored, an AIMIM spokesperson clarified in the evening.
