Days after Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav unveiled a statue of Hindu Lord Parashuram in Lucknow, Brahmin leaders of the BJP on Friday inaugurated a Parashuram temple in the capital city in an attempt to bring the community, allegedly disgruntled with the party, back into its fold.

BJP MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi, her son Mayank Joshi, UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma and UP minister Brijesh Pathak unveiled the statue of Lord Parashuram at Hasoveer temple.
