Kashmiri activist Yana Mir, who hailed India for the freedom of Kashmiris and slammed the Pakistani propaganda in the UK Parliament, complained about being alleged ill-treatment at the Delhi airport on her way back from London.

Yana, who recently made headlines for her scathing critique of Pakistani propaganda in the UK Parliament, took to social media to express her dismay over what she described as "ill-treatment" at the Delhi airport.

In her video post on the X platform, Yana described the scrutiny she faced from customs officials regarding her belongings, particularly her Louis Vuitton bag. In a 4-minute-long video shared on social media platform X, Mir detailed the interrogation she faced, lamenting that she was treated as a "Brand Smuggler" by the customs officials.

The Kashmiri activist's post quickly garnered attention online, with netizens offering mixed reactions. While some defended the actions of the customs officials, citing their duty to uphold regulations, others expressed sympathy for Yana, citing similar experiences.

Yana Mir, who hails from Anantnag in Kashmir and is known for being the first woman YouTube vlogger from the region covering political issues, has a significant online presence with over 200,000 followers on her YouTube channel.

She has been actively involved in social activism and journalism, particularly focusing on youth and women empowerment initiatives through her association with various NGOs.

Yana’s recent ordeal at the airport has reignited discussions about the treatment of individuals, particularly activists, by authorities in India. Her experience highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding Kashmiri issues and the challenges faced by those who speak out against propaganda and advocate for change.
