A man addicted to online games commits suicide

Chennai: Man who lost several lakhs of rupees playing online card games commits suicide by setting himself on fire after sending a voice note to his wife. Vijay Kumar, a thirty-six-year-old man from Korkadu Puducherry, is the victim of online game addiction that made him incur enormous debts. He mentions in the voice note that he has debts that he was unable to pay off.

The man advises not to fall addicted to online games in his last message. The police informed that they had about 30 lakhs of debt to be paid.

The dead body in a burnt condition was found close to a swamp in Korkadu after the police combed the area upon a complaint received from the man's wife, Madhumati. His bike was found nearby. The couple has two children.
