New Delhi: The Union government is planning to resume printing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's face on Covid-19 vaccine certificates, issued in the five states of India where Assembly elections concluded recently, PTI reported.

PM Modi's photo was removed from the said certificates in the States of Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Manipur since January 8 after elections were announced in the states and subsequent rollout of the Model Code of Conduct.

According to sources from Union Health Ministry, health minister Mansukh Mandaviya wishes the resumption of stamping the PM's picture o the certificates in the mentioned states with "top priority", PTI reported. Necessary changes will be added to the Co-WIN platform in this regard, as per sources.

Meanwhile, an online portal has been launched to share "inspiring" stories featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi from people who have interacted with him during his lifetime. The portal, modistory.in, has tweeted that the volunteer-driven initiative has been launched to bring together "inspiring moments" from Modi's life, narrated by his co-travellers. The portal was inaugurated by Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni, granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, the tweet said. The site shares stories, experiences and anecdotes from people such as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoranjan Kalia from Punjab, where Modi started his political journey as party office-bearer. The site also features Rasbihari Maniyar, Modi's school principal at Vadnagar in Gujarat, and Sharda Prajapati, in whose Modi stayed in the 1990s during his tours.
