Delhi Govt avails 5-star COVID care to HC judges, families
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The Delhi Government has reportedly passed an order converting 100 rooms in a five-star hotel as COVID care centres for Justices and other judicial officers of the Delhi High Court and their families.
The State government is said to have passed it considering a request from the Delhi High Court. The Primus Hospital in Chanakyapuri will run the Community Health Centre (CHC) facility at Ashoka Hotel.
"The charges shall be collected by the hospital and the hospital shall make the payment to the hotel. Primus Hospital may accommodate their doctors, nurses and other paramedical staff at their own expenses after deciding the rates mutually" the order said.
Meanwhile, the BJP has attacked Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for booking 5-star Covid care to cater only for judges while the general public has been gasping for medical oxygen in the national capital.
Delhi records 20,201 new cases with 380 deaths in the last 24 hours. The case tally has risen to 10,47,916.
