Ujjain: In the case of a girl being raped and found pleading for help while still bleeding on the streets of Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain, the police have arrested an auto driver identified as 38-year-old Rakesh, along with three others, while an investigation into the horrifying incident is underway.

CCTV footage retrieved by the authorities depicts the young victim walking on foot, desperately seeking help along an 8-kilometre stretch.

According to reports, the victim had initially boarded an auto at Jeevan Kheri, and a CCTV video of this interaction was also obtained by the investigators. Blood stains were discovered on the auto, prompting a forensic examination to gather crucial evidence.

Sachin Sharma, the Police Superintendent of Satna, revealed that a missing person report for the minor girl had been filed a day prior to the incident coming to light. The investigation has revealed that the girl encountered five individuals at different locations, and all are currently undergoing questioning by the police.

One of the three detained individuals is also an auto driver, but their identities have not been disclosed at this time.

In a concerning update on the victim's condition, a team of specialist doctors in Ujjain operated on the young girl, and while her condition remains critical, it is reported to be stable.

This tragic incident gained widespread attention when a video of the bleeding girl walking on the street went viral on social media, prompting outrage and demands for justice. An FIR (First Information Report) was registered at the Mahakal police station, and a comprehensive investigation into the rape is in progress.

In response to the public outcry, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra announced the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to probe this shocking crime, assuring the community that every effort will be made to bring the culprits to justice.
