Indian actor Farhan Akhar will be soon seen on the MCU web series 'Ms Marvel'. The actor confirmed the news by sharing a clipping of the report on Instagram. Ms Marvel is among the most-anticipated Marvel projects for delivering South Asian representation for the first time.

Farhan Akhtar wrote on Instagram that he is grateful for the universe gifting him these opportunities to grow and learn. He added that in this case, he will be having "a ton of fun" while doing it.

He will be the first mainstream leading Indian actor to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Akhtar will be seen in a guest-starring role.

Bollywood insiders took to Instagram to congratulate Farhan Akhtar. His wife Shibani Dandekar shared the same news and wrote she is "beyond proud of him". Karan Johar and Arjun Rampal wrote "amazing" in the comment section.

Ms Marvel is focused on Kamala Khan, a Muslim Pakistani teenager living in Jersey City, US. She is a fan of the Avengers and wants to save the world like them. Being a gamer and fan-fiction writer, Kamala is particularly obsessed with Captain Marvel. Her life takes a surprising turn when Kamala discovers her own superpowers.

Fans are eager for the seventh show in the MCU which will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. A trailer was released in March and the titular character has already generated buzz.

Ms Marvel will be played by newcomer Iman Vellani The cast also included Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.

Since Pakistan does not have access to Disney Plus, the show will be exclusively released in theatres. Pakistani MCU fans will be able to watch the entire Ms. Marvel series all at once while the rest of the world will have to watch one episode at a time.
