New Delhi: A gangster in Maharashtra was sent back to jail after a video of his jail release celebration went viral on social media.

Harshad Patankar of Nasik , who was charged under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Slumlords, Bootleggers, Drug Offenders and Dangerous Persons Act (MPDA), was released from jail on July 23.

His supporters took out a car rally to celebrate his release which landed him in trouble.

The rally from the Bethel Nagar to Ambedkar Chowk had about 15 two-wheelers too.

Patankar was seen waving at his supporters out of the car's sunroof.

The video of the rally was shared on social media with the caption "comeback".

Following which, Patankar was arrested along with his six aides for taking out the unauthorised rally and creating chaos.
