Yesterday was Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's big day. The couple got married in a private ceremony, capping weeks of rumours and speculation. After the wedding, the newlyweds appeared for pictures and thrilled the media with filmy PDA. Alia also posted pictures from the wedding ceremony on Instagram.

Within hours, the pictures from the wedding of the power couple flooded the internet. Celebrities and fans took to social media to wish the actors.

"Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home ... in our favourite spot - the balcony we've spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can't wait to build more memories together ... memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia," Alia wrote on Instagram.

Shortly after the wedding, the couple made a rocking public appearance. After greeting the paparazzi and posing for the cameras, Ranbir lifted his Dulhaniya in his arms as they made their way back into the house to continue the celebrations.
