Chennai: Actors Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari were recently engaged and fans are keen to know about their relationship.

At the Galatta Golden Stars event, actor Siddharth shed light on his recent engagement to Aditi Rao Hydari, addressing misconceptions surrounding the private ceremony. He clarified, "Many people said we had done this in secret... it was a private ceremony for those whom we know... The next steps depend on our elders... This is a lifetime commitment. So, when they decide, it will happen naturally."

Responding to queries about the proposal, Siddharth emphasized the importance of the outcome rather than the duration of deliberation. He stated, "These questions about how much time it took shouldn't be asked. The end result must be either yes or no. I'll see whether the result is pass or fail. I've never seen how many marks I'll score. I was in tension whether it would be a yes or a no and my name was in the pass list."

Regarding the wedding date, Siddharth deferred to familial decisions, highlighting the significance of the occasion. "The wedding date will depend on the elders... It will happen at the right time once they decide," he added.

The engagement announcement came via Instagram posts from both Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari, featuring heartfelt messages and snapshots of their engagement rings.

Meanwhile, Aditi Rao Hydari gears up for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's OTT debut, "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar," set to release on Netflix on May 1. The series boasts a star-studded cast, including Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Manisha Koirala, and Sharmin Segal. Siddharth, on the other hand, was last seen in the successful Tamil film "Chithha."
