Shraddha Kapoor becomes second most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, surpasses Priyanka Chopra

Shraddha Kapoor, currently enjoying the success of her latest film Stree 2, has achieved another milestone by surpassing Priyanka Chopra Jonas to become the second most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram.
Shraddha now boasts 92.1 million followers, edging out Priyanka, who has 91.8 million.
This accomplishment follows Shraddha's earlier achievement of surpassing Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the platform, who currently has 91.3 million followers.
The title of the most followed Indian on Instagram remains with cricket superstar Virat Kohli, who has an impressive 217 million followers.
Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, continues to dominate the box office, breaking records since its release on August 15. The horror-comedy, a sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, revisits the town of Chanderi, where women are mysteriously kidnapped by a headless entity.
The film stars Rajkummar Rao alongside Shraddha, with Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Vijay Raaz in key roles.
On its 10th day, Stree 2 earned Rs 32.5 crore, bringing its total box office collection to Rs 341.65 crore, according to Sacnilk.
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Abhishek Banerjee addressed the audience's reaction to Shraddha Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurrana's limited screen time in Stree 2. He stated, "I didn’t feel that way. If the audience feels that way, yeh toh unka pyaar hai (it’s their love). This means that the work was good and they want more of it, unko lalach (greed) ho raha hai (laughs). Everybody who feels that either Aparshakti and Shraddha Kapoor have limited screentime is because they have done great work."
Reflecting on the film's overwhelming success, Abhishek added, "It is unbelievable. I am hearing beautiful stories about how people are enjoying the movie, whistling and clapping at every scene, and dancing to the songs. Being a part of a franchise that is so big and loved by the audience gives a definite sense of achievement."
Stree 2 continues to captivate audiences and solidify Shraddha Kapoor's status as one of India's most beloved celebrities.
